Inbizzy, Samsung is set to officially introduce its latest lineup of foldable smartphones—Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE—during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Ahead of the official launch, detailed specifications of the devices have surfaced online, offering insight into Samsung’s next-generation foldable technology.
Galaxy Z Fold 7: Lighter and Thinner Than Ever
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature major design improvements, with a thickness of 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded, placing it among the thinnest foldable phones available. Weighing in at just 216 grams, it could also become the lightest book-style foldable phone on the market.
The Fold 7 is said to include a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner display, slightly larger than the previous model, while retaining the 4,400mAh battery. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it will come with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, with some markets potentially receiving a 1TB variant. The main camera is rumored to feature a 200-megapixel resolution, and the device will be available in blue, black, and silver color options.
Galaxy Z Flip 7: Redesigned Cover Screen with Larger Battery
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 also brings significant changes, particularly in its exterior design. A new 4.1-inch cover screen now wraps around the dual-camera lenses, echoing the style seen in recent Motorola Razr models. This updated design has appeared in hands-on leaks and renders since early 2025.
Despite a larger cover display, the Flip 7 maintains a slim profile while incorporating a 4,300mAh battery—just slightly less than the Fold 7. The device features a 50-megapixel main camera and will offer the same storage and color variants as the Fold 7.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: A Budget-Friendly Foldable Option
Samsung is also expected to launch a more affordable option, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This model will come with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage and a 4,000mAh battery. Interestingly, it retains the same 4.1-inch cover screen as the standard Flip 7, suggesting it shares a similar wrap-around design, despite earlier rumors claiming it would reuse the older Flip 6 design.
The Flip 7 FE will reportedly be offered in just two color options: black and white.
Galaxy Watch 8 and Classic Models Also Leak
In addition to foldable phones, leaked promotional images have revealed the design of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Both smartwatches are expected to adopt the squircle body shape, previously introduced with the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
No Word on the Samsung Trifold Yet
While Samsung’s tri-foldable phone has been the subject of speculation in recent months, the latest leaks make no mention of it. The device could make a teaser appearance during the event, though a full reveal is not anticipated at this time.
