ITSEC Asia and Qrypt Partner to Deliver Quantum-Safe Security in Indonesia

Inbizzy, Jakarta, August 27, 2025 – At the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit 2025, two cybersecurity leaders officially joined forces to prepare Indonesia for the quantum era. ITSEC Asia, the country’s leading cybersecurity company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qrypt, a U.S.-based innovator in quantum cryptography solutions. The agreement was formalized by Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, and Kevin Chalker, CEO & Founder of Qrypt.

Qrypt is recognized globally for developing advanced technologies that safeguard information against the emerging threats posed by quantum computing — machines capable of performing calculations far beyond the reach of today’s supercomputers. While quantum computing promises breakthroughs in fields such as medicine, artificial intelligence, and materials science, it also introduces significant risks. Traditional encryption methods like RSA and ECC, widely used in banking, healthcare, and government, could be rendered obsolete, leaving critical systems and billions of connected devices vulnerable.

To address this, post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is being developed as the next frontier of secure digital protection. Qrypt’s suite of solutions — including Quantum Entropy Appliances, Quantum Entropy-as-a-Service, and Digital Quantum Key Distribution (DQKD) — is designed to help organizations future-proof their infrastructure and adopt quantum-safe security measures ahead of widespread quantum adoption.

Through this strategic partnership, ITSEC Asia will spearhead the introduction and integration of Qrypt’s quantum-resilient solutions in Indonesia while focusing on three key initiatives:

  • Research & Testing – Collaborating with global partners and universities to develop real-world proofs of concept for financial transactions, secure communications, and data storage.

  • Training & Capacity Building – Leveraging the ITSEC Cyber Academy, launched earlier this year, to equip Indonesian IT professionals with the skills needed to implement quantum-safe systems.

  • Industry Awareness – Driving discussions and advocacy for PQC adoption through events, media, and industry forums, including the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit.

“Quantum computing is one of the greatest technological leaps of our time. While it brings immense opportunities, it also challenges the very foundation of digital trust. Our collaboration with Qrypt ensures that Indonesia is not only prepared but positioned as a leader in adopting quantum-safe solutions,” said Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia.

Echoing this sentiment, Kevin Chalker, CEO & Founder of Qrypt, added, “By partnering with ITSEC Asia, we are combining global innovation with local expertise to help secure Indonesia’s critical infrastructure and digital ecosystem against the next generation of cyber threats.”

This MoU reinforces ITSEC Asia’s commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s national cybersecurity resilience, ensuring that both organizations and citizens are equipped to face the challenges and seize the opportunities of the quantum future.
